Resizing in Lightroom

Step 1 Go to the Library Module | |
Step 2 Click on image to be resized | |
Step 3 Click on the Export button and the Export dialogue box will appear | |
Step 4 Choose the destination for your image in the Export Location section – i.e. ‘Desktop’ | |
Step 5 Make sure the ‘Rename to‘ check box is checked and use the pull down menu to select ‘Edit‘ | |
Step 6 Edit the file name as required – i.e. add ‘ – Export’ and click ‘Done‘ | |
Step 7 Scroll down, if necessary, to show the ‘File Settings‘ dialogue. Make sure ‘Image Format‘ is ‘JPEG‘, ‘Quality‘ is ‘100‘, and ‘Color Space‘ is ‘sRGB‘ | |
Step 8 Scroll down, if necessary, to show the ‘Image Sizing‘ dialogue Make sure that the ‘Resize to Fit‘, and ‘Don’t Enlarge‘ are checked. Select ‘Pixels‘ Type ‘1600‘ in ‘W‘ box and ‘1200‘ in ‘H‘ box. Leave Resolution unchanged it isn’t relevant. | |
Step 9 Scroll down, if necessary, to show the ‘Output Sharpening‘ dialogue Make sure that the ‘Sharpen For‘ box is checked In ‘Sharpen for‘ drop down select ‘Screen‘, and in ‘Amount‘ select ‘‘Standard‘ | |
Step 10 Click ‘Export‘ to create your new image in the folder specified in Step 4. |
