Very colourful images, I especially like Nagui’s vivid image and way lights are refracted through the crystal
Ahh Christmas is coming and everyone is busy…. only 4 entries this week – I love Ian’s image – very…
The B&W images are my favourites too, with Nagui’s being my overall favourite.
Some lovely portraits here – the three that stand out to me are the ones in B&W. I love the…
Blue is my favourite colour, and I really enjoyed this challenge. SOme really great shots here – lots of variety…
Checked out Valda Bailey, lots of interesting work she has, can see some of her inspiration in your image. Thanks for sharing.
Challenge 4, ICM: let me explain, this one was one of dozen I took practising night photography -long exposures- many years ago! The first was accident, then I tapped the camera on top or side and got many different shapes of lights reflections [arrow/ coma/ across/ down etc.] I choose this one for your critique please!!
Well done to everyone who took part. I intended to do so but the week was too short! – that’s my excuse anyway.
Sorry I forgot about this one. Lovely set so well done to everyone who entered.
This was an interesting challenge and there are some really interesting images here. I was looking on the web for some inspiration and came across Valda Bailey who seems to be well respected and does a lot of images of this type. You can perhaps tell that I either plagiarised or was inspired by her stuff, depending on your point of view. 🙂

Somehow, Bob’s image makes me want a Cadbury’s Flake. You probably have to be as old as me to understand.

Enjoyed this challenge, learned a little more about ICM and how to use it for artistic effect (I hope!) Liked Bob’s Dancing Poppies and Brian’s Sonning water scene. Both looked like watercolours, give a delicate feel to the images. I used a “Focal Zoom” effect on my flower which I just bought from the supermarket. Photographed from above. I tried one with water drops and one with out. Liked the one with drops more. The Focal Zoom effect extended the petals giving a dreamy effect. Tried it a few different ways, offsetting the centre of the zoom. Good fun!
Well done everyone – a difficult topic, or at least one I have not done much of – the occasional panning of a fast car, so it really was a challenge to find suitable topics. The colours in Nagui’s image are great. I love the delicacy of June’s flower too. Look forward to seeing mext week’s images on Reflection – hopefully a little easier and we should get more entries!
