  1. Latin name is ‘Hypochaeris Radicata’, but as it wasn’t a nature photo contest just used the common names!😁😉

  2. Well done everyone – another great set of images. Thanks Ian, for the name of the flower – to me…

  3. Well done to everyone for the ‘Three’ pictures – I was amused to see that Mary and Ian had picked…

  4. Thank you for the nice feedback on my bumblebee shots last week! Not superglue, no, just some pied piper music……

They are all amazing!! I like most the Blusher, the Daisy chain, and the Clematis.

Liking the colourful image of the Daisy Chain by Julie, sharper at the front and then softly fading out, lovely slightly dreamy mood to the image. Also the Leaf-cutter Bee by Nigel fills the frame, looks like a giant bee, awesome image. Fascinating to see individual hairs on the little bee and multi-colours on the wings. Took a while to get the lighting and processing right on my pasta, using studio flash, softbox & reflector, shot overhead with extension arm, and a range of layers, blending and processing in Photoshop and Picasa.

Well done again, another great set of images. Not as easy a subject as it seems – I am still working hard to get the perfect image – the background in my image is too instrusive for my liking, but they were just not landing in the right place for any improvements. I think Nigel has done a cracking job with his leaf cutter bee, and I love the colour palatte and shapes in Anne’s image. I am sure Bob’s garden must be a real picture, with the tulips, poppies and other flowers he has shown us, this subtle pink poppy is beautiful and the back ground compliments it well.

Another great set of images. My favourites are June’s pasta, Julie’s daisy chain and Ian’s sempervivium

    A good set of images.
Macro always a difficult one for me the experts say you have to stack the files to get a magnificent picture.I lack the ablity or the inclination.
The Pasta is very pleasing but less technical.
