  1. Great blue and yellow/green tones in Keith’s cornflowers, and like all the water images, especially Nagui’s action packed wave.

My favourite classic autumn shot with colours is Nigel’s leaf. For a different take I like Susi’s tree with the morning(?) mist, lovely atmosphere.

That leaf was on a tree across the road from my house, it always goes a lovely colour this time of year. My own favourites are David’s picture of Epping – the curve of the benches really makes it – and Brenda’s one of Southlake.

There are some glorious autumn colours here; I especially like Brenda’s Southlake and Susi’s autumn tree, also June’s autumn wave for a different take on the subject. Overall, a great collection and it was hard to pick out my favourites.

The wave was 2 weeks ago on hols in Dorset. Plenty of stormy Autumn surf to see this time of year. Once I started taking pictures of waves I realised how tricky it is to have the right shutter speed to smooth out the water, and freeze the wave movement, but I found a good way around it.

The autumn colours are really spectacular this year, and you have certainly found some lovely images – well done. My favourites this week are David’s & Brenda’s images – you feel that warmth and totally submersion in the colour and beauty of the trees and leaves. I like the arrangement of seats in David’s image and the path leading you in, in Brenda’s. Ian’s is an interesting take too – could you brighten the colours a little Ian? it all looks a little grey – I am sure it would shine if you could boost something… my photoshop skills are limited to say the least, but I would go into levels and see if that helped.
Love the frosty morning Susi – great shot, and the wave is lovely and serene, but cool… my thoughts of of Autumnare red and fiery 🙂
