General Description

  • These are open to all club members and are normally held once annually. There is no set subject for these competitions, which are divided into three main sections two for prints (Standard & Advanced), and one for Projected Digital Images
  • Entries may be home or trade processed
  • Each trophy is awarded for one season to the best image (print – Advanced or Standard, or PDI)
    • Images can be in colour, or monochrome

Rules

  • Each member may submit images for up to 2 trophies:
    • Scadden Cup
      • Advanced members only
    • Loddon Cup
      • Standard members only
    • Woodford Cup
      • All members
  • A member may submit up to two entries in each section they are eligible for
  • Judging of these competitions will be carried out by a judge selected by the committee, who will award marks out of 20 and pick the overall winner for each trophy
  • There is no set subject for these competitions, the choice of subject being the responsibility of the entrant
  • All images must be the sole work of the entrant
  • Pictures may be entered in this competition which have previously been entered another club competition, but not in an earlier Annual Competition
  • Entry for all trophies is via submission to the PhotoEntry website
    • Images must be submitted as a 1600×1200 JPG file, in sRGB IEC61966-2.1 format
    • All entries must be uploaded by 12noon on the Sunday 8 days before the competition date
    • Each image must have a title entered when uploading
    • Titles can be up to 50 characters in length
  • Additional instructions for print entries:
    • Each print must be mounted on stiff card or board, which can be any size and shape but, must be no larger than 500mm x 400mm, and 4mm thick, including the mount
    • The entrant’s name, class (Advanced or Standard), competition details and print title should be written clearly on the reverse of each print
    • The advanced print sections is open to any club member who is not entering the standard sections of the print competition
