2021-22 Season External Competitions Secretary Update

Results of recent external competitions, the individual scores and club placings from the CACC Chilterns Hundred, Championship Day, and 5 Clubs Competitions.

Chilterns Hundred

Members were awarded a strong set of scores all round, with Mary’s ‘Riding the Wave’ our top scoring image with 14.  This was held back for the ribbon selection but, unfortunately, just missed out.  Well Done Mary!

Championship Day Prints

For this competition, we put together a set of high scoring prints from this year’s TOC2 competition plus a couple of others, so did not have as many competitions to select from as in previous years.  Unfortunately, we came 13th out of 13 clubs.  However, we still received some good scores with a few 12s and 11s out of 15.

Championship Day Projected

We scored higher in the projected image competition, with a 13 for Mary’s ‘Riding the Wave’ and several 12s and 11s showing the benefit of having more competitions to select from.  We came  a respectful 12th out of 18 clubs.

5 Clubs Competition (scored out of 20):  We submitted a different mix of images for this competition and did well in coming 3rd equal behind very strong submissions from Maidenhead and Windsor.  Most importantly, Julie Wright’s ‘Kingfisher in Action’ won the best image in competition and was presented with the trophy at Monday’s Club Meeting.  Well Done indeed Julie!
