Simon Tregidgo is a Berkshire-based photographer and the person behind Simotre Photography. A keen photographer for more than 20 years, Simon shoots a wide range of subjects, but is particularly drawn to landscapes, wildlife, travel and astrophotography. His photography has taken him around the world, from the Arctic Circle and Iceland to California and the Maldives, as well as closer to home across the UK. Alongside his landscape and travel work, he has photographed everything from wildlife and weddings to Centre Court at Wimbledon and cup finals at Wembley. Astrophotography has become a particular interest, combining Simon’s love of landscapes, travel and the technical challenge of photography. He has photographed the night sky in Sweden, Iceland, Gran Canaria, California and across the UK, including the Milky Way over Stonehenge – an image recently featured in Digital Camera magazine. In his talk, Simon will share some of the techniques and lessons he has picked up photographing the night sky in very different locations, as well as showing that successful astrophotography doesn’t necessarily require specialist equipment or an intimidating amount of technical knowledge. Laura Drury

Laura lives in South East Kent and gained her LRPS distinction in 2019. Since then, she has enjoyed exploring a wide variety of photographic genres. She has been an enthusiastic camera club member since 2017 and credits club talks and competitions with providing the inspiration, encouragement and motivation to continually develop her photographic skills.

Her flower photography has received recognition in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition, while she also enjoys creating more abstract images using Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). Since 2023, Laura has had three solo exhibitions showcasing her creative photography.

More recently, she has found herself increasingly drawn to creating photographs that have meaning beyond simply being visually pleasing—images that tell a story, express an emotion, or connect with people in some way. This desire to create photographs with purpose continues to influence the direction of her photography.

Jonathan Vaines

Jonathan Vaines is a professional creative photographer based in Bedfordshire, UK. He is widely recognised for his innovative multiple exposure photography, using in-camera techniques to create imaginative and often abstract images. His creative practice also incorporates techniques such as intentional camera movement, resulting in distinctive and expressive photographic work.

Alongside his personal photography, Jonathan is an experienced photographic educator. He teaches for organisations including The Royal Photographic Society and Photo Club 247, sharing his knowledge and passion for creative image-making with photographers of all levels. He also works one-to-one as a mentor, helping photographers develop their creative vision, strengthen their visual storytelling, and build confidence in their artistic expression.

Jonathan's work has been exhibited in galleries and is held in several notable collections, including the Ting Collection and the World Trade Center Museum. He is a member of The London Salon of Photography, reflecting his commitment to photographic excellence and creative innovation.

Talk: Night & Day Panoramas + Portfolio

Creative landscape photographer, David Jenner, will present his unique Night & Day panoramas, which take anything up to 100 hours to complete! He will also focus on many of his other award-winning images from his portfolio, with plenty of amusement and heartbreak along the way, not to mention an unhealthy obsession with John Craven! This is a talk like no other and promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment you will never forget.

Tony works from his home at Elmstead near Colchester in Essex.

He has been working as a professional photographer for over thirty years, winning several awards and accreditations in this time within professional photography with the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society.

Storm Photography has been the professional photography side of his work for most of this time.

In 2016, he started The Light Academy, photography training for one2one, group training & group workshops.

In December 2015, he was made a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society for his unique conceptual work on Suprematism within photography. This was followed by the RPS Fellowship of the Year Award in 2016, for the ‘most outstanding panel of work achieving a Fellowship’.

Personal photography includes: abstract, street, modern & contemporary architecture, still life & portrait photography.
